good questions that needs a good answer, as I mentioned the bolts are extended and discontinued since, the garages rarely use a torque wrench and break the extended neck, the replacement are short and sink deep into the mag collecting dirt. Does this answer your question?

So, this is aftermarket equipment? Aftermarket wheels? The garage you are using doesn't use a torque wrench? OK, find one that knows how to work on a Merc, professionally- I would not suggest a torque specification to you because with the custom equipment you describe, WHO KNOWS- and if one of those wheels falls off, it would be my responsibility- I knew this sounded sketchy- my advice, find a good mechanic who will take the responsibility for fixing your car correctly-

the mags are originals, the bolts are originals, even the dealer serviced did not use a torque wrench, I went through several mechanics, few if any showed some finesse of Merc servicing, including the dealers 23 years driving SLs and I can diagnose a problem without a scanner!
