Cranking over but Wont stay on.

My 2000 surbuban suddemly died on me while
driving it.i initially presumed it was the fuel pump.
Turns out that it wasnt. I also changed the
alternator, fuel filter, and even tried to bypass the
passcode 3 sensor.  Could someone please tell me
what it might be? Replacing the fuel pump only
lead to air coming out of the relieve valve .  Super
stuck with no work truck.  "HELP"!!!!
