SLK 230 tail light plastic cover shatter

The plastic covering my SLK 230 tail light shattered into a couple pieces, some of which
are lost. No damage to the light inside of the plastic. Can I buy a used lamp and take off
the plastic or is this going to require me buy a new tail light all together?

Try Ebay, get one good used one or get a pair of new after market ones. Replace the whole unit not just the lens.
