Stalls

Asked by Grod1994 Dec 29, 2015 at 08:59 AM about the 1986 Honda Civic Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1986 Honda Civic stalls when I try and drive it.
It's a 1.5 carbuated. We got another one from the
junk yard and still does the same thing.

First change fuel filter if have not done so already next spray a whole can of carburetor cleaner into carb you will have to slightly rev vehicle up to keep it from shutting off while using cleaner.

Do a tune up on the the car. There could be a lot of causes for stalling but I would start with a tuneup.
