I bought a 2005 X5 3.0i back in august of 2011... it had 68,000 miles on it, and currently has about 73,000... How many miles do you think I'll get out of it, with proper mantainence?

With proper maintenance you should expect 250k-300k out of it.
bullet proof engine, changing fluids on schedule is crucial to longevity. coolant, oil, brake fluid are the 3 key.
I would agree with both of the previous Gurus. I myself have a 1995 3 series coupe, 160,000 miles and still going strong, starts everytime..touch wood!! In order to keep your car going for years to come, servicing your vehicle on a regular basis is essential.Do remember though you do not need to rely on Main dealerships to keep your vehicle well maintained. Any 'good' garage can maintain and repair your vehicle without effecting any warranty scheme that may have come with it, and generally at a fraction of the cost. If you are unsure of a relaible garage in your local area there are various sites you can visit that are feedback based, that is the customers give 'honest' reviews of the service they have received, i.e www.goodgaragescheme.co.uk

The car will serve you as long as you wish to use it. The car will easily last 400k miles with regular service and repair. We have company cars with 400k that we use everyday.
