1990 ain't that old...certain rockauto.com will fix you up...no prob~

take an afternoon and go for a hike at the local U-pull, tell the guy which one you want....prices are on the board there~
ok and what about swapping for a better one does that mean i have to do an engine swap as well for instance the one i had was a 3 speed im looking for something with more gears not sure if thats even possible

bring a tape and a notepad....electrical considerations are usually the killer~ either pick the same yr/model to harvest the parts from or count on the full complement of all things ignition and fuel related~

personally wanted a 5 speed for my '73 Datsun 610...was told a 280sx five would do....it worked alright but had to blacksmith a new shift handle and was off of plumb by 15 degrees....but worked and gave me an opportunity to put a new/used clutch in there too~

if it physically fits, we can make it work...now if it's an automatic that depends on it's own module (like lexus does) then we are in trouble...unless it's like a turbo 350 that does not depend on signals from the brain to operate~
you wouldnt be able to tell me what the name of the tranny is im haveing a hard time trying to find it online websites make me search by year/model i find it easier if i know the name of the item. sets not sure exactly what to buy

take a look at your transmission and engine mounts...bet they've gone soft and aren't keeping the geometry there anymore~
