Can I adjust my clutch on my 2003 Golf?

Asked by Paulrover Mar 25, 2015 at 04:15 PM about the 2003 Volkswagen Golf GL 2.0

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My clutch is not fully engaged until my pedal is at the top of the stroke. So I'm worried
that I'm riding the clutch because my pedal has no free space at the top. Can I adjust my
pedal or the clutch so my clutch engages mid-stroke of the pedal?

The MKlV Golf has a hydraulic clutch pedal, so there is no adjustment. Sounds like the clutch is worn, and you'll have to start paying attention for slipping, at which point the clutch will need to be replaced.
