I have a 95 vw golf wont crank won't really do anything was starting fine a couple days ago I was driving it and it died like I stalled it then wouldn't start or crank but dash lights come on

Sounds like a bad battery or your alternator isn't charging the battery. Charge the battery. Then put a volt meter on it. If far less than 12 volts, replace the battery. If battery tests good, test the hot side of the alternator. It should be putting out 14 volts. If both test fine, it's a bad starter.
