heidelberg 7 stereo--recode?

Having no luck recoding the anti-theft mechanism on this 91 Jetta GL's Heidelberg 7 Stereo CR.  Have followed instructions, but do not have correct code to enter and am trying merely to cancel the electronic lock-up altogether.  Any assistance would be appreciated.
