My Jetta 1996, windows fog up, antifreeze gets low, is the heater gone ?

Windows  fog up, and antifreeze getting low. How do I get to the heater core to replace it ?

Thanks for your reply. I think it is a doomsday job to replace the heater core. Jetta will be a summer Jetta. aarnop
