Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Jetta TDI. It started fine then all of a sudden not starting. There is power to everything. Husband used a jump wire to starter and car started. We have replaced the ignition and still wont start with the key.
Any suggestions are welcome!!!!

You may want to check your connections to all wires. One could have wiggled loose, or have rust, making the car not start

We did find a loose wire, reconnected it and still no start. The only way it starts is with the jump wire to the starter.
