i have jetta 3 1996 model a replaced thermostat but no heat at all from the heater so guys please help me what should i do to have heat

Your jetta has a vacuum operated valve to shut coolant on or off to the heater core, looks like this

That could have the vacuum hose fallen off, or is just stuck
