05 Volkswagen Jetta cranking but

I was wondering if anyone can please guide me
thru the steps needed to check my spark plugs
myself, the easiest way possible, please?  I'm a
young woman who hasn't EVER taken ANY classes
or educating when it comes to maintenance on
vehicles, AT ALL!  I know enough to know that it
needs air, fuel and fire to run tho. Which is relevant
for any and every vehicle!  And I'm almost positive
that it's getting fuel and air,  but like I said,  I have
absolutely not the slightest clue how to even begin
to check to find out which of the 3 it is for sure on
my own, which seems to be my only option at this
point!  Especially since it has been broke down for
going on almost 4 months now!   I don't have
ANYONE to help me at all, everyone that says
they're going to lies n B.S.'s! So I've pretty much
accepted the fact that I'm most likely on my own at
this point! I really need as much help/WELL
KNOWN ADVICE as anyone could possibly help me
out with!  Thanks so much!  I really appreciate your
