1998 Beetle wont start

1998 vw beetle with over 100k miles went to get an oil change using high mileage oil. Drove home shut
the car off, came back turned the car on and it wouldnt start. Eventually it started, did the same thing
again with starting up after a few tries. Started up with no problem later that day. Then the next day not
starting at all.

Go to the parts store and get the codes read. A good scanner will detect pending codes that haven't occurred enough to light the CEL. Buy a can of starting fluid while you're there and spray it in the intake next time it doesn't start. If it fires, you have a fuel delivery problem. No fire = no spark.
