I have a leak in my exhaust, overheats and with smoke coming out. How to fix overheating?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 VW Beetle. I recently took it in to be diagnosed for issues it's
been having. The body shop told me that *two front oxygen sensors need
changing, Flex Pipe Gasket (joint is leaking on flex pipe), oil filter housing
seal, Breather Hose. My concern was, I thought I had oil leaking through my
exhaust. Because my car over heats and smokes slightly through exhaust.
My question is, would nay of the repairs actually stop the overheating. I can
see how the leak and other repairs may stop the smoking through the
exhaust. Any help would be great!

Thanks for the response. It's white smoke. Yeah I was planning on just holding out on the sensors. I am leaking oil in the front. But, usually from the tailpipe, according to what I've read could be a bigger issue. CEL? No, I took it to be diagnosed to see the needed repairs. I bought the car used, but started doing repairs on it just recently again.

if you have white smoke its an excessive amount of water. Checking all the seals would be a good place to start with seals and the oil cooler as well.
