2000 VW Beetle - Car won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
LOL like this " Q " has never been asked. New Battery, new starter but only
clicks or no sound to key turning in ignition. I've reset the alarm system(radio).
I'm puzzled cuz when jump starting and all cables are attached to both
batteries - i see no spark whatsoever. What is going on there, please?

A cable has a bad connection inspect the #2 gauge wires first, loose, corroded, high resistance it can appear as Ok, but under the insulation not allow current to pass, you will need a multimeter to test for that, and a bad ground can prevent the electrical from functioning in the vehicle.

Starter just clicks will not engage
