Hello MELISSAB27-- Most of these things are done by computer nowadays and it shouldn't be hard to do once your 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle is hooked up to a mechanic's own computer. A dealership is the usual place to have this done. It shouldn't cost you much. Good luck from Bovan.
