My 2002 vw beetle 1.8 turbo

I have 2002 vw beetle 1.8 turbo.i was on the
freeway the other day and lost all power EPC light
came on pulled to the side of the road and waited
for a tow truck.car was taken to my house where I
then started to check see what the problem could
be car won’t start at all won’t even crank.i scanned
the car with my scanner and only code that came
up was Po343 the crankshaft sensor.went bought
the part replaced it still won’t start and light is still
on EPC.car will not turn over won’t crank at all
acts as if it has a dead battery but battery is fully
charged.please if someone has a clue anything
helps at this point

check your fuse pannel above the battery. they are notorious for melting at the hot wire. ive replaced mine twice
