Any simple, inexpensive solutions with window probs and no,warranty

Bought used 2005, beetle/vert 3 mo ago, just this week drivers rear window will not go
up, and passenger front, sounds like there is glass or bb's rolling around inside.  Check
engine light came on within 30 days and has been on feet since...I'm 71, alone, and no
money and purchased this cute little car for convenience..I thought...any suggestions

The person who answered before me is correct if you have no one to help you it could be expensive. Although there are things that you can do to get the upper hand. If the window regulator motor needs replacing, you can minimize the cost. Using aftermarket parts, like Napa etc. Avoid the dealer at all cost for parts if you can because they charge a premium. You can even get the check engine light scanned at a auto parts store if you are not in California.
