my daughter has a 4cyl passat that has recently started dying every time she comes to a stop. it starts right back up...any suggestions would be helpful..thank you!

my daughtl is all the infoers car has recently been dying every time she comes to a stop! it starts righ back up but every time she comes to a stop it dies..a 4cy is all the info i can give you..we are out in the country and i am handicapped..any info would be greatle appreciated!!

you should check your maintenance is up to date first and clean the throttle valve. In VW you need to calibrate the throttle with the VW diagnostic tool after everything is done. if this doesn't resolve the problem let me know, if you have access to read the codes from the car do it and let me know the codes.

Check next to the coolant resivoir there is a vacuum hose about 6 inches long that has a right angle on it ,these will split open and create a vacuum leak.If the split is bad enough it will cause the car to stall,vac leaks are the biggest culprit for poor running and stalling ,the throttle body can also create some issues,although if there is an electrical issue they will set and store a code ,good luck
