Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2000 VW Passat v6 2.8. I have a problem
with the idle so I replaced spark plugs and
wires, coil plate, cleaned the throttle body,
and replaced the breather hose and pcv
valve, reset the throttle body. Car starts and
idles but when I hit the gas it shuts off

what about the vacum lines ? also how does the MAFS look? the 2.8L has a vacum line that goes under and around the oil fill cap cover plate that often breaks is it broken? if it is this causes idle issues. I replaced it with a full length of braded vacum hose and rerouted it. also when was the last timing belt service done ? always should be done once every 90000km
