Will a motor from a 2010 jetta, fit a 2006 passat? Both motors are 2.0 turbo, gas.

I have a 2010 jetta motor, I'm looking to buy a 2006 passat that needs a motor. Both are 2.0 turbo's. Want to make sure they are interchangeable.

the engines are to disimalure to work. You need a car the same year to do a engine transplant You also need the computer control moduals to go with the engine. if the car was a year up or down i would say yes it would be possible but 4 year gaps are not recommended.

I just swapped a 2.5 from a 2010 Beetle in a 2005 Jetta.. you won't find the best answer here. try the VW forums!
you can Frankenstein any thing if you have enough time effort parts and patience but it does not always work out the way you plan it.
