Do i have a BCM problem

Asked by Levi Aug 05, 2013 at 06:09 PM about the 2006 Mazda MAZDA6 s 4dr Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently was installing led strip lights in my front grille of my 06 mazda 6s. While wiring them through the left headlight fuse I blew the fuse replaced it with another one and blew that one too. Then I found out I was hooking up the wires wrong and fixed it. But now whenever I shut all the doors and hood I hit the lock button on key pad or in the car and the alarm goes off? Also when I use my blinkers both of them blink. The intended turn signal blinks normal while the other one blinks very  dim but at night u can tell its blinking. Does anyone know what I did or how to fix this? I've heard maybe the BCM has to be replaced.

this may not give you the answer u want but I installed led tail lights in my mustang and the cruise would not work,I tried 2 sets and AQmerican Muscle swore I had a problem with my car, well I took them out and installed euro style tail lights and everything works, there nis something about led lights that cause all kinds of problems, replace them with another type light

thanks for all the advice. I got really lucky. I found the bcm unplugged the three connectors , cleaned them and plugged them back in and everything works back to normal .
