Theft would be an issue. That's the same truck as the ford escape. what is the nature of the computer problem? Is it a 4 cylinder. Is it that 1 or 2 of the coils or injectors is loosing its ground in the pcm?

This is just a guess, but I think so. That it will work I mean. Swapping both brain and ignition from same donor car will recognize key. The PATS won't 'know' it's in a different car

It' not just the pcm its also the sjb or gem that has info that has to be programmed with the parameter reset when installing a new module. .... I think that I was typing just as Dusty posted.
