I bought a 2001 Volvo V70XC advertised on your website. After 30 miles returning home from the sale, a check engine alert came up as well as an alert that the transmission needs service. I took it immediately to my mechanic. After a computer diagnostic, he said the transmission needed to be replaced. It was a $6000 repair. I called the dealer I bought it from and he's coming to pick up the car tomorrow and have the transmission replaced. Given the small size of the business, how can I be assured his mechanics will do a competent job?

Can't. But Courts hate auto rip-off creeps; kinda gives us moral crooks a bad name. Pt ASE MASTER

I'll explain. You cant be sure the technicians are worth a darn. A lick & a promise is all you can expect. They have no motivation to do any more than necessary to put vehicle back on the road. However, Civil Courts inherently are are sympathetic with the consumer on these issues. Therefore, demand a proof of a professionally Raman Xmission with warranty , or sue them in small claims or civil court for $6k, or full refund + pain & suffering. Talk to a local lawyer under any circumstances, even if process is started. Calipthom
