Replacing an airbag consists of replacing more than just the airbag itself. Often, sensors, springs and other pieces must be replaced. There is also a labor cost involved--replacing an airbag is not something to be done by the backyard mechanic. The total cost of replacing an airbag can be well over $1,000, and in some cars the replacement cost can be as much as $3,000 to $4,000. Also there couold be other frame and suspension damage
