Sometimes going down the road smoothly the truck just dies as if the ignition was turned off except that the idiot lights are on. What might cause this ?

The engine doesn't act like it's lacking fuel,. It just shuts off as smoothly as turning off the ignition. Sometimes there may be a few months between when it happens. Other than
that, it's a great little truck. I'd like suggestions as to what might cause this.

your igniton switch is bad.
