Removing that engine mount is the easiest way to move the heat shield and get the starter out..I have the exact same vehicle and just replaced my starter...its a 2 -3 hour job with the right tools to complete the removal and installation of a new one..and aftermarket new starters ($165) for these are notorious for going bad again..
