2001 GMC Savana 2500 error code P0442
having trouble finding evap cannister and purge valve locations
can anyone help me

Engine size would help so I am guessing here ... Canister is in front of the fuel filter ( PLastic Square thing ) The Purge Valve is on the engine - Look for the Green cap the Purge valve will be close by connected by vacuum line to intake.

Thanks a lot, Mike. Found the purge valve, and replaced. It took a couple of "resets" (disconnecting battery), and FINALLY the dash warning light went out so I can take it for inspection!
