Did your wrench replace the button?
If the switch works he needs to check the wiring, fuses, relays and the servo motor on the transfer case.
If you drove the car in 4wd on dry pavement for any length of time you may have damaged the transfer case.
My abs light is on also the 4wheel drive traction light on..is it something I can fix..it keeps coming on..an sometimes stays on
Plz someone help me..abs light an 4 4wheel drive traction light won't shut off
Bad front speed sensor
I'm having the same problem on my 2007 Patriot Sport 4wd. Mechanic I talked to said the ABS sensor was missing and car thinks it isn't getting traction. Have no choice - have to drive the car. Going through gas like crazy
Rear wheel bearing will also cause a these lights. Girlfriend had 08 4x4 with cvt...when that speed sensor ring goes on the outside of the bearing it causes this...with the cvt it also cause acceleration problems as well as surging
