2006 Subaru Forester Engine Type

Question type: General

What engine type does the 06 Forester X have? From what I've found online I
can't tell if it's an EJ255 version 2 or EJ257, everything says they are used in
the Forester XT but make no mention of the base model X.

Probably an EJ253. Look at the emissions sticker to see if the engine model is shown.
