Timing Belt

Asked by Guru1QH42 Sep 16, 2019 at 10:47 AM about the 2007 Subaru Forester 2.5 X

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Subaru Forester with only 75,000 miles.  My dealership says the
timing belt needs to be changed.  When should that be done with regard to
years instead of mileage?  Thank you!

13 years is enough but first inspect the belt for cracks and missing teeth. Then get a price from an independent shop.
