The Subaru Forester is an all-wheel-drive car-based SUV introduced in 1998.
All wheel drive all the time. Many small SUV's are part time all wheel drive which is not very good. I live in snow country and you see a lot of Subaru's but very few Honda's, Toyota's or Ford Escapes.
