As far as the grade is concerned if you are not turbocharged 85 or 87 should be just fine. your owners manual should tell you though. Be sure to check it. All turbocharged subies require 91.

um just curious but where do you live? i know of no place in the USA that sells 79 octane, and 99 octane you'd need to re tune your car to run on that. along with that if your car is a DD why on earth would you run 99 octane. no need what so ever, my sti runs premium which local is 93 octane. if but the non turbo cars can run on the 87octane no prob ( as was already said)

hi i am from the uk i have an wrx sti prodrive and my hand book tells me to run no less then 97 ron john
