i recently had the rear seal go out and replaced it but now it goes forward but not in reverse, is there a way of seeing if it is repairable to do myself? how can i trouble shoot it?

im assuming its an automatic and i have seen where the shifter cable is installed wrong after removal of a transmission. make shure you have installed it correctly and in the same spot you have taken out of. if it was working fine before you replaced the rear main seal it maybe you forgot something so double check
