Limp mode should reset after every cycle (engine restart), if it finds the same condition it will reset limp mode. It locks you into second gear. You can check trans fluid and the EATX fuse & relay to start with, typically you'd have to run the Chrysler DRB scan tool to find a cause. (Could be it needs a new solenoid pack, but could be any number of bad connections between the trans control module and sensors.) FYI most transmission problems won't appear as a trouble code in OBDI or OBDII system.

09 chrysler town country transmission limp mode reset. I replaced 2 sensors on the Transmission . I was told it only had 1 sensor but when I removed the 1st one I found the second one next to it. It has at least 5 speeds when I use the shift . Anyway, replaced both and now it only goes to limp mode and the engine light comes on. The engine light was not coming on before. i did all this cuz when i would play the radio or any other device the van would go into limp ode! plz advise? Regards Bob

My 2005 Town and Country wouldn't shift in hot weather after driving a while, (P0700 code) so I went into the fuse box and replaced the EATX Safety Shut Down Relay for $20. Problem solved! Thanks, Occam's razor!
