2007 vw jetta stock radio JumpStart?

So I had to JumpStart my jetta after leaving
the lights on. The battery sparked pretty
good when connecting the cables but it
fired right up and everything works fine
except the radio. No power, no light,
nothing. It seems that the jump killed it. I've
checked every fuse in the car, left the radio
fuse out for awhile and unhooked battery
for 10 min. Still no sign of life in the radio.
I'm about to remove the radio to check for a
fuse in the back. Is that the right move?
Does it have a fuse in the back?

when the radio loses power, it thinks it is being stolen- when your battery went dead, it confused the poor radio- you will need a code to reactivate the radio- there may be more to it, because you were makin' sparks there on the battery- don't do that- the battery can explode-

Thanks. Yes I have the code on my paperwork but there is no power to the radio for me to put it in. It doesn't come on and say "safe" mode or anything? Can anyone confirm that the radio has a second fuse on the back that the jump could have blown?

I mentioned the sparking because I thought it might indicate it could have stressed the fuses or radio. I know they are bad and wasn't trying to. A large v8 jumped me off. So I'm wondering if that stressed my system.
