my 2007 nissan altima is ticking when i first crank it what is going on?

when i first start my car it makes a ticking sound, it continues but is not as loud during the drive

If It's from the front of engine by the belt area then It's most likely your timing chain. If your car is less than 5 years old and less than 100000 km (in canada) or however many miles in states It'll be under warranty as long as you've been doing your oil changes. ( 99% of these are due to lack of maintenance )
