Hello, My 07 Nissan Altima starts but will not engage, When its in park and press the gas the rims clime,But as soon as I put in reverse or drive the rpm drop to 1000 and that is my problem. Please any info or insight would be nice.

New battery and alternator. Don't want to throw any more parts at it.

if that's a drive by wire type of design , [ lacking a throttle cable from peddle to throttle body] it most likely is the sender at the gas peddle not sending signal to control unit to supply fuel on time
