Lifter tick. Fairly common problem with these engines. Oil passages get sludge in them over time causing them to tick. I have found that doing a sea foam treatment on the engine oil right before an oil and filter change most times will free them back up and quite them down.

I normally pour about a third of a can in oil and let it idle for about thirty to forty-five minutes. ONLY IDLE DO NOT REV UP ENGINE. MAKE SURE AC IS OFF TOO. You should hear them stop ticking when they get clean. Then immediately change the oil and filter. I repeat IMMEDIATELY CHANGE YOUR OIL AND FILTER. Sea foam cleans all the sludge out and thins your oil out while it does it so make sure it's changed.
