Never owned a Porsche Cayenne
Asked by Alohamaria66 Feb 22, 2017 at 08:51 PM about the 2006 Porsche Cayenne S Titanium Edition AWD
Question type: General
I'm looking at a 2006 Porsche Cayenne S Titanium
AWD with 84k miles and 3 owners. Only a few
service records in Carfax report. Mainly oil changes
and emission tests. Wish I could see more service
records. I'm nervous about making this decision.
Should I buy this or not? Beautiful car but???? Just
don't know about quality or any issues with this
model??? Help please.

Good car, runs great, like I tell everyone on this site, only buy what you can afford to fix....this car and any other car will brake down for example a regular car a complete brake job will cost about 500.00 your car will be about 1,000.00, this is a part of owning a high end car
Agree with Cometguy61. Repairs is where they get u. If the price is something u can't refuse, go for it but soon you'll have to start doing major engine repairs like timing belt, water pump etc

Thank you for the advice. I think I'll pass on this one. Just not convinced this was maintained properly. I'm very meticulous about my vehicles. I'll continue with my search.
I would pass on this one too. Once Cayennes get to 10 years old or 100k, they seem to have one very expensive fault after the other.
Mine is 2004 Cayenne S. 110k miles. All I have done is to change oil once a year and change tires and front brakes only! Best car I ever owned. Oh yeah, the ignition coils cracked once but the Porsche paid for it even after 10 years. There was a recall for them.
BTW, there is no timing belt on 04 Cayenne S. They have timing chain.
