How is your charging system? If the alternator is not charging enough it can die at a stop. Did you replace the distributor cap and plugs and wires along with the rotor? How about the sensors in the engine, your Mass Air sensor or another sensor could be a culprit.
No MAF on 93, uses speed density. Sounds like the dreaded Optispark, but check out the plugs and wires first.

I have the same trouble with my '93, The car has SO Many Sensor's on it, plus it's an old car. I would Clean the air-Box, use at least 89 octane, change the Fuel filter to, its located under the passenger side I think, looks like a soda can. If None of these work, and your Engine light isn't on, Gut the Cat. When I got my '93 of an older guy, I could tell he didn't beat on it, so when I Romped it, all the built up carbon, clogged the cat, an the car wouldn't even start. Only gut it as a last resort, since the OE replacement is like 700$... ~scott
