Does anyone know what the problem could be for no heat or a/c in 2007 Grand Prix?

Asked by FreezingCold Dec 10, 2014 at 05:09 PM about the 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I currently have no heat or air conditioning in my car. Originally I noticed when the blower motor wasn't functioning, so after checking fuses (all appeared fine), I replaced the blower motor and still no heat. I then replaced the resistor and still no luck. As for the control dials, they appear to be working. does anybody have any advice on what the problem could be?

Did the blower motor quit all at once or did you slowly lose it speed by speed? The gradual loss of a blower motor is the failure of a resistor down by the firewall inside the car. You can probably change it yourself although it is a bit tricky and helps to be a contortionist. Check on you tube. There are vids there on how its done. Any autopart store can get the part.
