Should I really have to pay a diagnostic fee during inspection for an issue that the dealer supposedly fixed but couldn't clear(light)?
I'm at a mitsubishi dealership to get my 07
outlander inspected. I spent over 10,000
dollars about two years ago getting this car
fixed at this location after an accident and
after it was all done, They revealed to me
that they couldn't get the abs and service
engine lights to go off.....I tried to be
understanding and was just happy to have
my wheels again. The year after I went back
to get an inspection done and brought to
their attention the trouble they had getting
the engine lights off and they waived the
110.00 diagnostic fee because the. "service
engine soon" Light was triggered by the abs
light (yes they replaced the sensor
originally). Now they are charging despite
rather or not the check engine light is being
caused by the abs system. I'm I wrong to
think that if they can't fix the problem they
shouldn't be charging a diagnostic fee?
