Is the fuel pump inside the gas tank and what does that cost to fix, it this car a problem

I have been hearing that these cars have fuel pump problems and its expensive to fix, is this true, this is a 2006

It's in the fuel tank, and yes it's expensive because the tank must be removed to get to it, Except this shows how to cut an access without dropping tank/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD05CaZjQiM

For the car cutting off for no reason question I may have an answer. My 2006 pt cruiser was/is doing the same thing. Found that the key switch was worn and after starting is does not completely return to the on position. It would shut off at random times. For now I have been making sure it goes all the way back till I can change it.
