My 2006 Sebring Touring Interior fan vibration and noise, increasing with fan speed. Air movement is okay, but noise and vibration is bad. I can't tolerate noise and vibration above setting of "1". Source of noise and shaking seems to be coming from console near the passenger side windshield.

Its going to be the blower motor. Either something has fallen down the dash vent and is rubbing the fan blades or the motor itself is bad.
Agree, something is stuck in the blower motor or its 'squirrel cage.' Have fun getting it out.

Got the fan problem fixed. Evidently a rodent (probably a field mouse) made a nest inside the "squirrel cage." He must have gotten inside during the cold winter through a partialy open dampner. Just had to clean it all out. The rodent had moved on and greatfully did not die inside. All is working fine now.
Not a fun job but glad it was something simple and yes smell wise you're lucky it didn't die in there.
You should check the cowl and/or cabin filter for any holes leading to the plenum box, it had to get in there somehow.
