Motor Removal

Asked by Ronnie Jul 12, 2018 at 06:40 PM about the 1999 Buick Century Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need steps to remove engine.

1 Answer

Just the basics. Get an engine lift. Drain all the fluids. Disconnect the battery. Unbolt the exhaust and the engine/transmission mounts. remove the radiator and disconnect (and label) all the engine wires and vacuum hoses. I would remove any engine accessories that look to be in the way. Remove the drive shaft and the transmission cross member. Lift out the engine.
