Are you the one who was locked out of this same vehicle last week due to a dead battery?

I would use some vise grips and a pry block on the key. Just clam the plairs onto the key and pry it out using something another to get more leverage and yank the mo fo out..like pulling a toof.

Your key will not come out of the ignition if the battery is dead. Charge battery or get a jump from a charged battery and your key will come out of the ignition. It's a power issue.

usually its a blue wire that breaks in the center console where the shift lock mechanism is hat can keep your car from coming out of gear or key coming out the ignition as if a fuse was blown.....its common for most GMC/BUICK,GM,Chevrolet and Saturn vehicles
