I've heard it is not good for the car to change the
filter for the transmission my 97 Buick LeSabre has
popped a p1870 code is it safe to change the
transmission fluid and transmission filter for my
car or is that not healthy for my car

Changing the fluid and filter is not bad, "flushes" that alot of places offer are bogus and damage transmissions
