Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a 2002 chevy Silverado with a 5.3 motor. When the truck is cold and I try to start it. the truck starts rite up and idles high for a few seconds then it idles down . then the truck will start flooding itself  out till it stalls . I got to repeat this  multipule times. Before the truck will stay running. Do you have any ideas on what maybe wrong with it. Thank You

May be leaky fuel injectors, spider lines, and fuel regulator. Check with a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the Schrader valve, build up pressure by cycling the key on off, then key off, watch the pressure gauge, it should not drop more than 5 lbs. in 3 minuets.
